Abstract
The article deals with lexical and stylistic peculiarities of the dramatic text. Significant attention is paid to lexical and syntactical features of the colloquial speech. The translator should find not only equivalent syntactic structure taken in the source text, but also apply a pragmatic adaptation of the source text in order to achieve the pragmatic adequacy of the target text
