Leyte Normal University College Library Management Information System with Online Reservation

Abstract
The Leyte Normal University like any other Higher Education Institutions in the country has a library that is used by its students, faculty members and even visitors in need of resources and information for their studies, researches and personal use. The Library Management Information System is a software used for handling basic functions of a library. It is significantly needed as a useful tool for people who are searching for books, magazines, clippings, and other resources in a well-organized manner. This study was made to help and facilitate the ease of use by the students, teachers and visitors of Leyte Normal University library by providing them a more efficient and dynamic program. Descriptive method using a questionnaire was used to determine the feasibility of the system. Also, it helped in the formulation of rational conclusions and recommendations for the study. Observations and interviews were also conducted to supplement the data collected. A Percentage formula and Slovin’s Formula were used as a statistical tool. Based on the results of the study, the newly developed software provides better services to the library users and easier management of the library by the library staffs.
