Development of Interactive Trash Can (I.T. Can)

Abstract

This study focused on developing an interactive Trash Can that can potentially help minimize the garbage scattered around the Leyte Normal University Campus. The scope of this study is to make the throwing waste properly. It can send SMS to the administrator if it is already full thus helping the utility personnel lessen their workload. The study made use of mixed research method procedure to help them analyze and interpret the gathered data through interview and survey. The needed data came from the response of survey questionnaires that were provided o the students of Leyte Normal University which is the chosen research. h locale of the study while the interview conducted with the utility personnel of the campus. In analyzing the gathered data, the investigation revealed that there is a problem in throwing of the garbage around the school in such that the students pitch their garbage anywhere and gives burden to the utility personnel who maintain the cleanliness of the school. Consequently, the idea of using the interactive Trash Can will help in minimizing the scattered garbage around the campus by being interactive and at the same time, it is of great help to the utility personnel who maintain the cleanliness of the school campus
