Abstract
The article analyzes the bases of cognitive linguistics in linguohistoriographic approach. Some scientists consider that this trend in linguistics was originated in the 70s of the 20th century by the American linguist W. Chafe who devoted works to the word order in the structure of the English sentences and their intonation, tried to explain their features by character of the cognitive powers directed to the actualization of the given information in the sentence. To the development of cognitive linguistics of those times belonged the views of N. Chomsky who analyzed the structures of consciousness as mechanisms of creation of the language phenomena. Under the inÀ uence of his ideas there were formed the principles of cognitive linguistics according to which the theoretical hypotheses are of psychological character but the linguistic phenomena need further analysis and explanation. Nowadays there appear not only the authoritarian approach but also leading paradigm, methodology of the linguistic researches that claims to be the most effective. Among the tasks of cognitive linguistics the prominent place there occupy the results of the cognitive activity of man in the process of creating, establishing and understanding speech, cognitive processes and the role of natural languages in the process of communication. It is the very direction of cognitive linguistics that is the most important for linguocultural interpretation of the language phenomena in general and the functional peculiarities of using proper names in alive speech in particular.
