LINGUISTIC INTERPRETATION OF GESTURES IN GERMAN LANGUAGE OF THE SECOND HALF OF THE XXTH CENTURY (BASED ON H.W. RICHTER’S NOVEL “EIN JULITAG”)

Abstract
The paper considers the results of the investigation of the gestures objectivation in German language of the second half of the twentieth century. The term “gesture” is considered from the position of genetics and interpreted in direct and figurative values. It has been discovered that gestures in German-speaking culture are related to the extralinguistic factors. The basic extralinguistic factors include: mentality, emotional state, social norms, values, beliefs, (national) culture, history. The verbalalization of gestures covers lexical means and grammatical. Lexical means relevant words and phrases, grammatical appeals to the sentence. Among the words, nouns, verbs, adjectives and adverbs are highlighted, phrases have a free structural organization and constant. Models of phrases contain two types of components: obligate and facultative. Obligate components of the free phrase are verbs and nouns, facultative components are pronouns, prepositions, within the framework of the constant phrase the compulsory components are the nouns, optional-verbs, adjectives, facultative are pronouns, prepositions. The specificity of sentences reflecting gestures is the volume of gesture markers and details of their description. Three types of sentences are applied: simple, complicated and complicated, the criterion of differentiation is the subject-predicate structure and grammatical semantics. Linguistic interpretation of the concept of “gesture” in the artistic discourse promotes the specification of terminology apparatus of sociologists specializing in the study of character of communication of personality and interaction with other people. The performed analysis allows to understand gestures as “emotional language” of the body and its parts and to use this idea for further interdisciplinary studies.
