LITERATURA INFANTIL: UMA ESTRATÉGIA DE ENSINO NAS AULAS DE MATEMÁTICA

Abstract
The search for different methodologies and its improvements on the teaching of mathematics has been the subject of several investigations. Seen the ludicity of teaching is a facilitator strategy on the process of teaching learning, integrating children’s literature with mathematics classes is quite convenient, as many literary works have mathematics on its content. Therefore, the proposal of this article is to present the benefits the correlation between children’s literature and mathematics can offer to the process of teaching and learning of the students, and also present the results on a search about the knowledge and use of this strategy. For this, a questionnaire was applied to fifty teachers that work on the municipal school system of a Vale do Paraíba’s town. The results show that teachers of the first three years of elementary school know and use children’s literature as a teaching strategy for mathematics, although this did not take place on the teaching of fourth and fifth years. These results show the need to capacitate teachers so the use of this strategy can contemplate all years of elementary school and become even more effective
