Liver damage in pseudotuberculosis

Abstract
Th e presence of icteric forms constituting 5.18% of cases (156 patients) has been established in the process of long-term study of pseudotuberculosis in endemic areas of the Far East of the former Soviet Union. Th e syndrom of jaundice, as well as enlarge- ment of the liver, impairment of its function with the presence of fever and intoxica- tion, oft en accompanied by other signs are common at the early stages of the disease. Signifi cant clinical and biochemical diff erences are present in the conduction of diff er- ential diagnosis of viral hepatitis A.
