Locomotion Systems for Search and Rescue Robots
Journal Title: Robotica & Management - Year 2019, Vol 24, Issue 1
Abstract
In the first part of the paper the authors present some aspects regarding search and rescue robots, factors that might influence their design process and they are proposing several locomotion systems. The second part of the paper shows the search and rescue robots that use the proposed locomotion system. The end of the paper presents simulations of the proposed robots traveling on different surfaces.

“IntelliPark” - Smart Car Parking System
Nowadays there is a large number of cars in the world, they have overcrowded the cities, therefore the parking places are becoming more and more difficult to find. This reason has led in finding a solution for increasin...
The Influence of Pressure Distribution on the Maximum Values of Stress in FEM Analysis of Plain Bearings
Several methods can be used in the FEM studies to apply the loads on a plain bearing. The paper presents a comparative analysis of maximum stress obtained for three loading scenarios: resultant force applied on the shaft...
Management - Factor of Organisation’s Competitiveness
It is known that human resources are important in any organisation, and management is the element that has a determining role within it. This paper aims to highlight the role of the manager in the organisation and to inc...
Study on the Workspace of a 6-DOF Parallel Topology Robot Related to Binary Link Lengths
The paper presents a study on the workspace of a parallel topology robot with the structure FP3+6•SPS+MP3. The variable parameters are the binary link lengths, from both upper and lower levels, and the driving kinematica...
A Functional Model of a Serial Redundant Robot
The paper presents the mobility calculation, geometry and kinematics of a robot arm. It is a serial robot whose main spatial kinematic chain consists of four revolute joints. Four continuous current electric motors are u...
