LUSTRATION AS A WAY UPDATING OF STATE POWER

Abstract
The article analyzes the concept of “lustration” and the practice of lustration in Ukraine. The author concludes that the lustration Institute in the national legal system does not “work”. It is destined, in the opinion of the author, as objective fac- tors – collision rules of the lustration law and the provisions of the Constitution of Ukraine, low level of legislative technique lustration legislation, as well as subjective factors – the prolongation of the lustration process, the actual lack of political volition in the state regarding the holding of lustration, corruption, the corporate unity of the status of representatives of public authorities (judges, prosecutors and other officials реrsons).
