M (X)/G/1 WITH TWO PHASE OF HETEROGENEOUS SERVICE UNDER DIFFERENT VACATION POLICY , RESTRICTED ADMISSIBILITY AND SET UP
Journal Title: JOURNAL OF ADVANCES IN MATHEMATICS - Year 2014, Vol 9, Issue 5
Abstract
In this paper, we consider a batch arrival queueing system with two stage of heterogeneous service with different vacation policy subject to Restricted admissibility and set up time is considered. Customers arrive in batches according to compound Poisson process with rate and are served one by one in FIFO basis. After first-stage service the server must provide the second stage service. The service times of two phase of heterogenous services follow arbitrary (general) distribution with different vacation policies. Before providing service to a new customer or a batch of customers that joins the system in the renewed busy period, the server enters into a setup time process such that setup time follows exponential distribution. In addition we assume restricted admissibility of arriving batches in which not all batches are allowed to join the system at all times . The probability generating function for the number of customers in the queue is found using the supplementary variable technique. The mean number of customers in the queue and the system are also found.

Optimization of insurance broker's investment, consumption and the probability of survival with constant rate of return under exponential utility function
In this study, we take the risk reserve of an insurance broker to follow Brownian motion with drift and tackle an optimal portfolio selection problem of the company. The investment case considered was insurance broker th...
On Totally (p,k) Quasiposinormal Operator
In this paper we study some properties of totally (p,k) - quasiposinormal operator. And also we show that Weyl's theorem and algebraically Weyl's theorem holds for totally (p,k) -quasiposinormal operator.
ON SYMMETRIC BI-DERIVATIONS OF KU-ALGEBRAS
The notion of left-right (resp. right-left) symmetric biderivation of KU-algebras is introduced and some related properties are investigated.
On the solutions of the heat, wave and Laplace equations with nonlocal conditions
In this paper, we present a new approach to solve nonlocal initial- boundary value problems for heat, wave and Laplace equations subject to initial, final and nonlocal boundary conditions of integral type. We first trans...
CDA-OPTIMUM DESIGN FOR PARAMETER ESTIMATION, MINIMIZING THE AVERAGE VARIANCE AND ESTIMATING THE AREA UNDER THE CURVE
The aim of this paper is to introduce a new compound optimum design named CDA, by combining the C-optimality, D-optimality, and A-optimality together. The significance of the proposed compound gains from that it can be u...
