Abstract
The article is devoted to highlighting the main advantages of the united territorial community as a form of organization of local self-government in Ukraine. The analysis of the provisions of constitutional legislation in the sphere of regulation of local self-government is carried out; the basic forms of organization of local self-government and place among them of the united territorial community are defined. On the basis of the conducted scientific research the conclusion about the main advantages of the united territorial community as a form of organization of local self-government is formulated.
