Journal Title: ЕКОНОМІЧНИЙ ДИСКУРС - Year 2018, Vol 1, Issue 1

Abstract

Introduction The complicated situation that has developed today in ensuring proper living standards requires the implementation of a set of appropriate measures that will contribute to its growth. The problems of stabilization and growth of living standards, creating conditions for full playback and effective functioning of the labor potential now become crucial. Considering that an important feature of sustainable development is the high standard of living, methodical assessment of the main factors of the social environment that affect the level and quality of life of the rural population currently not lost its relevance. Methods. The theoretical and methodological basis of the research served as scientific developments on this issue of well-known scholars, the fundamental provisions of modern economic theory and legislative acts on the assessment of the level and quality of life of the population. At the same time, the following methods were used: structurally analog, cartographic, simulation, comparative analysis, grouping, and expert assessments. We assess the financial position in the study of living standards of the population, characterize the living conditions, and investigate the state of the social environment. Results. The analysis of income structure is the assessing the material situation of the population an important element of the integrated study. We calculate such proportion of the constituent elements in the structure of households as wages to do this, income from entrepreneurial activity, income from property, income from the sale of products from a personal subsidiary farm, pensions, social transfers (including benefits and subsidies), cash benefits from relatives and others, income from the sale of own property, other incomes., We believe that it is necessary to monitor how the share of labor income varies since privileges and subsidies account for a large proportion in the total income of the population. Labor incomes characterize the aggregate income of a person (household) as a result of labor, entrepreneurial activity and individual activity. Discussion. Prospects for further research are comprehensive assessment of knowledge in basic social environment factors that affect the level and quality of life of the rural population and provide increasing validity of management decisions on the development of sustainable social and economic development of the population.
