Journal Title: Medpulse International Journal of Surgery - Year 2018, Vol 5, Issue 1
Abstract
Vehicular trauma is by far the leading cause of blunt abdominal trauma in civilian population. The care of the trauma patients is demanding and requires speed and efficiency. Evaluation of patients who have sustained a blunt abdominal trauma remains one of the most challenging aspects of acute trauma care. Here we report a case of a blunt injury trauma following motor vehicle accident in a 19 year old male. The victim was resuscitated and immediately taken to operation theatre in the golden hour thereby preventing the mortality.
