Products coming into contact with the human body include cosmetics, medicinal products (pharmaceuticals), medical devices. There is an obligation of compliance with good practice in the area of, at the very least, production. Validation is obligatory in the field of medicinal products an d medical devices. For cosmetics, it is voluntary. An important element is the validation of both the manufacturing process and the analytical methods used in testing. There are some obligatory parameters of the analytical methods which must be assessed in the validation process. In addition, validation includes; validation planning, installation qualification and, at least minimal, operational qualification.
