Mathematical Modeling of Thermomechanical Treatment Process Applied to Aluminum Base Alloys for Aeronautics
Journal Title: Analele Universitatii "Dunarea de Jos" din Galati. Fascicula IX, Metalurgie si Stiinta Materialelor - Year 2011, Vol 34, Issue 4
Abstract
To optimize the thermo-mechanical processing of aluminum base alloys, mathematical modeling was used in a laborious research program by planned experiment of thermomechanical treatment process applied to an Al-Zn system alloy. The paper presents the modeling stages, the type of mathematical model that allows for the analysis of the main influences (technological parameters), their influence size and the type of correlationsbetween them. The simulation of the thermomechanical treatment process by varying the process parameters within the tested values and thermomechanical treatment optimization (getting the optimal complex of strength and plasticity properties in a convenient treatment option) is possible using the mathematical model developed.

The Behavior of an Experimental Model of Wind Turbine with Vertical Axle with Overlapped Cups at Low Wind Speeds
This work is based on an experimental model of vertical axis wind turbine (VAWT), which used a pair of hemispherical blades (cups) with variable overlap. Maintaining the rotation speed to a constant value and in order to...
Thermo-Mechanical Analysis of Sprayed Layers Using the Finite Element Method
The present paper presents an analysis performed in order to determine the thermo-mechanical behavior at the layer-substrate interface in case of thermal spraying, by using the ANSYS R15.0 software. The analysis was made...
Thermal Analysis of Inoculated Grey Cast Irons
A research was done to investigate the effect of 0.05…0.25wt.% addition rate of Ca, Zr ,Al – FeSi alloy, in ladle and in-mould inoculation of grey cast irons. In the present paper, the conclusions drawn are based on ther...
The Influence of Steam Treatment on Mechanical Properties and Abrasive Wear Behavior of Sintered P/M Steels
In this paper is a study of the influence of steam treatment on sintered P/M steels, for three different types of powder. The abrasive wear of steam-treated sintered iron is analysed by abrasion tests. The specimens were...
A Typical Surface Formations Found on the Corrosion Layer of Iron Artefacts
The paper presents the experimental results obtained by applying non-invasive methods (OM, SEM-EDX, XRF) on two iron artefacts from the IInd and the IIIrd centuries A.D. (discovered in the incineration graves from Gabăra...
