Journal Title: Pielęgniarstwo w Stanach Nagłych - Year 2018, Vol 1, Issue 1
Abstract
Mechanical circulatory support (MCS) improves blood circulation in the whole body while supporting the heartbeat. MCS implantation can be a temporary solution for individuals awaiting heart transplantation or a destined therapy for patients who do not qualify for the transplantation procedure. The article presents the Heart Ware and Heart Mate III systems and characterizes a patient with mechanical circulatory support.
