Mediation settlement of disputes in family law in Scotland

Abstract
This article aims to provide an overview of family mediation in Scotland, an indication of Mediation Centers that play an important role in promoting alternative dispute resolution, as well as taking into account mediator and their impact on mediation. Applying family mediation in Finland to Australia and Norway compared to Scotland is intended only to signal the problem of resolving family disputes in these countries without going into further analysis. There was also an element of coercion to direct the parties to mediation, which may reduce the number of court cases involving parental problems. Family mediation should be provided by official support of the Scottish Government adopting a clear change in family mediation policy.
