MEDICAL AND SOCIAL WORK WITH CHILDREN AT RISK IN GREAT BRITAIN

Abstract
The article is dedicated to the problem of children at risk. The worsening of social and economic situation in Ukraine has led to the number of children at risk being increased. This category of children due to certain circumstances in their lives is more than any other category exposed to negative external influences. Very often they are the victims of violence. Children at risk require special attention of teachers, social workers, physicians. It is found that the work with them separately is inefficient, because the workers are faced to the problems that are beyond their professional competence. In these conditions increases the objective need of complex character, for example – medical and social work. The British experience of such work is discussed in the article.
