Abstract

The health discourse in the media, which changes direction from focusing on “sickness”, towards emphasizing being “healthy”, provides medical social control through control of bodies. In this study, the concepts of medicalization of daily life and individualization of health problematic are discussed, and the forms of representation of health in media are analyzed within the framework of these basic concepts.
