METAPHOR IN TRANSDISCIPLINARY PARADIGM: METHODOLOGICAL ASPECT

Abstract
The article deals with characteristic properties of metaphor as an informative tool in the modern context of polyparadigmaticalness and new ideological and methodological approaches to world scientific cognition developing. The research areas as for the role of metaphor in the processes of sensemaking and description in various sectors of science and culture are defined. Common denominators of metaphor-terms occurring and functioning in modern science language are highlighted. Metaphor is analyzed as a complex phenomenon which is based principally on the complexity of human consciousness. Features of metaphor as a cognitive process universal methodological tool are determined.
