Journal Title: Записки з романо-германської філології - Year 2015, Vol 1, Issue
Abstract
This article focuses on the research of metaphorical transformations of M. Bulgakov’s novel «Master and Margaret». We examine such transformations as synonymous replacements, and differentiate demetaphorization as a replacement of metaphorical word-meaning by unmetaphorical equivalent, metaphorization as a replacement of unmetaphorical meaning by metaphorical synonym, transmetaphorization as a replacement of donor domain of conceptual metaphor of words-accordances, and a replacement of component of donor domain. The influence of such replacements on forming of functional and communicative equivalence of the original and translation texts is analyzed.
