Methodological and Psychological Problems of Usage of Informational and Communicational Technologies in Distance Learning

Abstract

The article investigates and analyzes methodological and psychological problems of using informational and communicational technologies in distance learning (DL). The articles containing information on methodological and psychological problems of using informational and communicational technologies selected from the journal in question serve as research material. The scientific methods of analysis, synthesis, description and comparison have been used in order to single out methodological and psychological problems of using informational and communicational technologies in DL. The methodological problems of DL are analyzed, in particular: distance and traditional learning; organization of distance learning; improvement of didactic theory regarding new educational realities; appropriate psychological and educational support; lack of development of DL concepts and terminology; professional activities and training of teachers; the optimal number of teaching staff;determination of pedagogically appropriate time of synchronous interaction with the student; development of computer-based environment; development of information-compact and time-saving learning materials; identification of the student in distance learning; students’ motivation for learning. The types of information perception and learning of students and how they are implemented in distance learning are considered. The research revealed that it is easier for ''visuals'' and ''digitals'' to perceive information, while ''audials'' and ''kinestets'' have some difficulties. The types of students’ temperament in developing a distance course are compared and analyzed. The recommendations on developing a distance course taking into consideration the types of students’ temperament are given.
