METHODOLOGICAL APPROACHES TO ASSESSING THE FORMATION AND EFFICIENCY OF FUNCTIONING OF AGRICULTURAL SERVICE COOPERATIVES

Abstract
Introduction. Cooperation contributes to the emergence the large high-value agricultural enterprises and their associations that will be capable to introduce modern scientific advances in genetics and breeding, innovative technologies and ensure the production of competitive products in the market. Clearly understand the position of agricultural service cooperatives on market their competitive status and possible competitive potential is possible through evaluation of their formation and performance. Methods. A wide range of general scientific and specific methods is used, including: a theoretical synthesis and comparison; dialectical logic and abstract; historical; analysis and synthesis; Economics and Mathematics Results. The size of the economic result of cooperative activity should be analyzed directly and indirectly through the impact of services provided by the cooperative on effective functioning of the members of the cooperative units because of their activity in cooperation. Integrated indicators of performance of activity of service cooperatives may be a unit cost of services rendered according to the type of activity and output resources. A large number of factors influences on these rates, interaction of which causes the synergetic effect. Discussion. There is a probability of further development of common methodological approaches to developing models of cooperative association of agricultural enterprises including farmers and private farms.
