METHODOLOGICAL GUIDELINES FOR THE FORMATION OF COMPETENCES OF FUTURE TEACHERS OF PHYSICAL AND MATHEMATICAL SPECIALTIES IN THE LIGHT OF CHALLENGES OF XXI CENTURY

Abstract

The article deals with the theoretical positions, approaches and principles developed in philosophy, science study, psychology, pedagogy, laying the methodological guidelines for the formation of competences of future teachers of physical and mathematical specialties. In the paper, based on the analysis of the above definitions of concepts competence and competence, it was found that in most cases, the competence is understood as the requirement, the norm of educational training specialist, and under the competence is the personal quality that has already formed. The essence of the concept “competence” is disclosed in the following way: competence is the integrated quality of the individual, which determines the person’s ability to solve problems and solve various problems that arise in real life situations, in different spheres of activity, based on the using of knowledge and skills from the educational and life experience in accordance with the established system of common cultural and professional values. The publication focuses on the fact that it is absolutely essential for the development of their own educational standards to take into account the traditions of the native high school. In particular, educational qualification characteristics are based on the following basic concepts: the production function (types of activities), the typical task (for example, professional, the social-industrial, social-household), ability and skills. Educational and professional programs focus on training in cycles: humanitarian and socio-economic training, natural sciences and general economic training, professionally oriented and practical training, a determines the recommended list of disciplines for each training cycle. The article affirms that only the complex combination and use of the analyzed provisions creates the prerequisites for a deep studying and understanding of the essence of the formation of competences of future teachers of physical and mathematical specialties and effective modeling of its content and scientific and methodological principles.
