Methodological procedure for conformation, implementation and improvement of quality systems for biofactories
Journal Title: Biotecnología Vegetal - Year 2009, Vol 9, Issue 3
Abstract
There are a number of reports and references on quality, which broadly covered the concepts, bases, importance, techniques and methods, but only theorically. This issue enables the existence of quality systems limited to certain conditions. Together with this situation appears the fact that not even specialized literature in quality shows how to design quality systems from integrals tools and scientifically formulated. Biofactories are acquainted to this problem. Therefore, there are not reports showing bibliographic quality control systems for these entities, adjusted to the characteristics of biological processes and the requirements of its technologies. This paper shows a methodological tool, scientifically tested for the design of the quality system in biofactories to facilitate its implementation according to current trends in the quality and the technological specificities and biological processes that sustain them.

In vitro response of Phaseolus vulgaris L. seeds cultivar 'Ica Pijao' irradiated with different doses of Gamma radiation
The lower yields in common bean (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) worldwide is due primarily to abiotic factors. For this reason the search for tolerant varieties is one of the objectives of the breeding programs in this species....
Metabolic profile of extracts obtained from in vitro cultures and plants of field Morinda royoc L., Psidium guajava L. and Morus alba L.
The in vitro plant cell and tissue culture is an alternatives to identify new compounds or to increase production of well-known compounds useful for humankind. The aim of this work was to produce biomass of Morinda royo...
Effect of orientation and length of the immature cotyledon on the Somatic embryo formation in two Cuban soybean genotypes
Identification of the suitable genotype for somatic embryogenesis in soybean culture is very important for further application in Genetic Improvement Programs. The objective of the investigation was to determine the ef...
Obtaining somatic embryos and establishing embryogenic cell suspensions in the banana cultivar 'Navolean' (AAB)
Cells suspension of plantains and bananas with promising results have been reported internationally, however, in Cuba it is not at so for AAB group. So, the following working objectives have to be considered: in vitro mu...
