METHODS OF VISIBILITY DETERMINATION IN AVIATION

Abstract
Safety is of great importance for aviation and ensuring the safety of air transportations, directly related to the definition of visibility in different weather conditions. Visibility shows transparency in the forward and backward directions. In this paper, the main methods for determining visibility in aviation were presented. The features of methods for determining the visibility in aviation are analyzed. Improving the methods for determining visibility in aviation will make it possible to obtain a reliable value for the meteorological optical range and to improve the flight safety.
