MUSICAL COMPOSITION OF YEVHEN VAKHNIAK

Abstract
The article is devoted to the musical composition of Yevhen Vakhniak. It is the first attempt to conduct scientific research of this activity area of the famous Ukrainian conductor and choirmaster. The entire list of compositions is briefly described as well as the most important genres and forms. The interrelation of musical composition and practical pedagogical and performing experience is shown. The historical aspect of the creation, performance and publication of some compositions is highlighted, based on archival materials and other sources. Characteristic elements of the musical language and the main features of the composer's individual creative manner are revealed with the method of musical theoretical and performing analysis of some of the most iconic works.
