Journal Title: Kognitsia, kommunikatsia, diskurs - Year 2016, Vol 12, Issue
Abstract
The article analyses some linguistic myths extended in everyday consciousness as well as the issue of their detection. Recently; due to some social reasons an “amateur’s approach” to linguistic facts is widely used; which though claiming its scientific nature; deviates from real scientific underpinnings of language analysis and affect everyday consciousness forming distorted ideas of the current processes in the Russian language. This stipulates the necessity to differentiate scientific facts and mythological ideas of language in everyday consciousness.
