Abstract
It became necessary to investigate historical microtoponymy. The article is devoted to the analysis of peculiarities of creation of microtoponyms ending in -івк(а) from the territory of Sambirskyy cyrkul. Cyrkul is an administrative-territorial unit of Galicia in the end of XVIII — the beginning of ХІХ cc. And nowadays the area of Sambirskyy cyrkul occupies 412 settlements (towns, villages, small towns, hamlets) of Lviv region. Historical names of micro objects are fixed in Josyphinska (1785–1788) and Francyscanska (1819–1820) metrics. These documents are first cadasters of Galicia. The purpose of the article is the analysis of ways of creation and creating bases of microtoponymy with formant -івк(а). The object is microtoponymy of Sambirskyy cyrkul. The subject is microtoponymy ending in -івк(а). We investigate names of micro objects in interconnection with historical (diachronic) anthroponymic system. The descriptive method and the method of analysis are used in the work. Summing up, microtoponyms ending in -івк(а) are quantitatively significant group of onyms. The practical value of the work is considered in replenishment of microtoponymy by new onymic units. As a result of the investigation, the peculiarities of creation of onyms ending in -івк(а) were studied. It was found out that these named were created via affixes (suffixes) and lexical-semantic way and via lexicalization of prepositional constructions. Anthroponyms and appellatives are creating bases of these onyms. Creating microtoponyms, suffix -івк(а) implemented possessive function.
