MODEL ENABLING THE FORMATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE MANAGEMENT COMPETENCE OF THE FUTURE SPECIALISTS IN LOGISTICS

Abstract

Some theoretical principles are revealed in the article; the experimental model specifying the organization of managerial training intended for the future specialists in logistics is projected. The main blocks of this model are determined and substantiated; the formation stages of readiness of future specialists in logistics for management activity are highlighted; pedagogical conditions that provide effectiveness of the model implementation are determined. Requirements of the society were taken into account in developing the model of professional training targeted to the students majoring in Logistics – training of a competent manager of the logistics industry capable of effective performing of management functions using information and computer technologies for the achievement of strategic, tactical and operational objectives of the logistics system. We projected the experimental training process in such a way so that the readiness of future logistics specialists to management activities could be achieved as a result of its implementation. The structure of the model includes three main blocks: methodological- objective, content-procedural, diagnostic-corrective. Structurally, the methodological-objective block of the model comprises the objective, approaches and principles. The objective is to ensure the purposeful formation of the professional readiness of future logistics specialists for management activities as a complex multifactorial process that contains an integrated system of professional knowledge and skills. The content-procedural block of the model reveals the process of training future logistics specialists in management activities carried out within the pedagogical process by applying a number of training forms and methods. The diagnostic-corrective block of the model reflects the processes of evaluation, analysis and correction of the results achieved due to the systemic formation of the future logistics specialists’ professional readiness for management activities as an integral construct of the four structural components (motivation- and-value-oriented, individual-psychological, cognitive-operational, communication- and activity-centred). The resultant unit aims to monitor the results of the activities facilitating the formation of the readiness of the future logistics specialists to implement management activities and as well as to monitor the students’ knowledge and to compare the achieved results with the expected ones.
