MODEL OF INDUSTRIAL POLICY OF POLAND: LESSONS FOR UKRAINE

Abstract
The paper deals with the features of Polish industrial policy formation and implementation. It was determined that during its way out the transformation crisis the industrial policy has been implemented by two models: vertical (1989–2003) and horizontal (2003 – until today). First model still prevails in the economic policy of our state but to achieve the economy restructuring and modernization it is necessary to gradually implement a horizontal model. The factors playing key role in successful reforms in Poland are defined. There are institutional provision (trade unions, industrial associations), financial support from the European Union and favorable investment climate among them. Some of the measures and principles of industrial policy formation are recommended for implemen-tation in Ukraine
