Model of the rehabilitation potential of people with mental disorders and behavior in response to the use of alcohol

Journal Title: Здоровье, спорт, реабилитация - Year 2018, Vol 4, Issue 4

Abstract

The purpose of the work is to develop a mechanism for assessing the level of rehabilitation potential through mathematical modeling. Material and methods. 120 men with mental and behavioral disorders due to alcohol use at the age of 25-40 years are divided into 3 subgroups (40 people each): Group I - with a high level of rehabilitation potential, Group II - with a medium level and Group III - with a low level rehabilitation capacity. A survey and clinical examination were conducted to determine the factors of importance for multivariate regression analysis. Results. It has been established that the rehabilitation potential of people with mental and behavioral disorders due to alcohol is a complex indicator that combines various factors. Among them twistedЖ сlinical, expert, psycho-biological, and social rehabilitation factors of the rehabilitation potential of people with mental and behavioral disorders due to alcohol have been identified. In each of the patient groups, they have their own severity. The established correlation relationship between these indicators has allowed us to develop multivariate regression equations. Conclusion. To create individual programs of physical therapy and ergotherapy, it is advisable to apply a multifactorial, statistically based mathematical model of rehabilitation potential. It is shown that an objective and early assessment of rehabilitation potential will contribute to the planning of adequate holistic programs of physical therapy and occupational therapy for people with mental and behavioral disorders due to alcohol use. This will allow to increase the level of rehabilitation potential throughout the entire period of introduction into practice of individual programs of physical therapy and ergotherapy for such patients. This, in turn, can be used not only to restore normal types of vital activity, working ability and socialization, but also as a prognostic factor for determining the success of physical therapy and occupational therapy activities.
