MODERN FUNCTIONS OF EDUCATION FOR SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT

Abstract
The article attempts to distinguish and characterize three clusters of functions of educational for sustainable development: socio-economic, socio-political and socio-cultural. The main functions of education for sustainable development are divided by the degree of significance for human existence in the form of a hierarchy, built on the principle of subordination and grouped in four levels: personal, social, theoretical and methodological, and universal (global).
