Modern, polgárosodó Kolozsvár-arculat a dualizmuskori Erdélyben

Abstract
(A Modern and Bourgeois Image of Cluj-Napoca in Transylvania between the Two World Wars) My research analyses the representations of space and the overall image of the region of Transylvania in the novel Milionaires of Cluj-Napoca/Kolozsvári milliomosok by György Méhes. I have observed constant motifs and formations that can be applied in shaping the image of Transylvania in contemporary and 20th century Hungarian literature in general. In this study I intend to track the modality in which the representations of Transylvania are shaped in the novel of György Méhes, and also, the way these infl uence the consideration of spaces. There is an image of Transylvania which shows the region as a place far away from Hungary, exotic and archaic, extremely close to nature. I also intend to discover how close is the image of the region in the novel to this archaic, nostalgic image of Transylvania.
