Abstract
This article focuses on the study of the work of heads of professional colleges, entities content of humanistic management approach the new format of vocational training institutions. Investigated the special role of interaction of the head with the teaching staff, the head of which shall be professionally qualified in management industry PTS, competentness-oriented approach to work, the bearer of the image of the institution able to ensure its competitiveness in the system of educational services.
