Modern timber frame construction systems

Abstract

Modern timber frame construction systems. The aim of study is the review of new timber-frame construction technologies available on the Polish market. The review includes structural components such as: I- beams, wood-based panels, Laminated Veneer Lumber, metal nail plate connectors, Structural Insulated Panels (SIP) and others, which can be used in prefabrication. Offer of companies producing components used in timer- frame constructions and companies building houses in wood-frame constructions (including prefabrication) is presented. Also novelty on the Polish market - Structural Insulated Panels technology is described. Keywords:
