Modernization of Enterprise Warehouses on the Basis of the Warehouse-Management System

Abstract
The main purpose of the article is justification of the feasibility and benefits of modernization of warehouses on the basis of introducing a complex management program "Warehouse-Management System" (WMS). Uncoordinated or poorly controlled warehouse operation results in financial expenditures. An effective solution to these problems is introducing warehouse automation. Modernization of warehouses on the basis of introducing WMS allows the enterprise to streamline and optimize technological processes of working with material flows, ensure full control over the movement of goods, get information about the warehouse workload in due time, and using the WEB-technologies will enable doing it from any location in the world. The Warehouse Management System optimizes the work and allows avoiding mistakes. In addition, the introduction of this system will increase labour productivity and improve the work quality.
