Monitoring trends in current development of Ukraine banking system and using its results by banking supervision

Abstract
Purpose. Carry out monitoring of trends in current development of Ukraine banking system, highlighting the main problems and ways to address them with banking regulation and supervision system to maintain bank’s financial soundness. Methodology of research. The objectives of the article implemented by using the following general and specific research methods: dialectical approach, induction, ratio analysis, vertical and horizontal analysis. Findings. Main problems of the development of the domestic banking system are certain. Measures of Ukraine system of banking regulation and supervision to solving problems are grounded. Proposals include: increasing capitalization of banks, strengthening public confidence in them, improving bank liquidity support, setting up a system for rapid response to systemic risk for the banking system of Ukraine. Practical value. The proposed ways of solving problems in the activities of banks are aimed at strengthening Ukraine banking system’s financial stability. Their implementation will improve the functionality of Ukraine system of banking regulation and supervision.
