Abstract
The arcticle has a deal with the vital and creative road and pedagogical activity of Modest Pilipovich Levitsky. It is accented on such Human and moral features of a great scientist writer doctor and teacher as: humanity, modesty, moderation, responsibility and devotion to affair. The author also stresses on the national consciousness of M. Levitsky, his great contribution into the public, literary and pedagogical activity of Lutsk gymnasium. The leading position of Levitsky`s life was the love to people, to his nation.
