Journal Title: Psychology and Education: A Multidisciplinary Journal - Year 2025, Vol 32, Issue 6

Abstract

This study examines the relationship between moral governance practices and school heads' performance in the Special Geographic Area Division of the Bangsamoro Region. Using a descriptive-correlational design, the study assessed moral governance practices among 135 school heads from ten clusters, focusing on transparency, integrity, fairness, accountability, and corruption-free management. School heads’ performance was evaluated across various domains, including instructional leadership, human resource management, and community involvement. Findings revealed high ratings for moral governance, with transparency being the strongest (M = 4.98). However, no significant relationship was found between moral governance and school heads’ performance (r = -0.026, p = 0.911), suggesting moral governance has a minimal direct impact.
