MULTICULTURALISM AS A SOCIAL AND POLITICAL-LEGAL PHENOMENON

Abstract
The integral characteristic of multiculturalism appears as the kind of theory, the policy and practice of non-conflicting coexistence in one's living space and is substantiated in part of: a) the possible incorporation into society of individuals and groups without significant restrictions on their rights and freedoms; b) the search for political and legal solutions in the event of a threat of loss of ethnocultural features, features of established forms of life; c) the development of theoretical and regulatory documents for new civilizational spaces that can modernize the existence of ethnic groups formed by the previous history of local civilizations.
