MULTINATIONAL BANKS’ WORLDWIDE ACTIVITY ANALYSIS DURING 1985–2015

Abstract
The analysis of the changes that occurred in the multinational banking (MNB) over the past three decades, taking into account the consequences of the global financial crisis, is provided in the article. The conclusion about the strengthening position of fast-growing markets as the MNBs’ home countries, the growing importance of developing and emerging markets as MNBs’ host countries and the transformation of MNBs’ credit strategies from aggressive into conservative are made. The factors that contributed to these changes are determined.
