NANOTECHNOLOGY: SMALL IS THE NEXT BIG THING

Journal Title: IDA Ludhiana's Journal - Le Dentistry - Year 2017, Vol 1, Issue 3

Abstract

Nanotechnology actually represents the management of material with at least one measurement sized between 1 to 100 nanometers. For its practical applications, scientists must be able to manipulate individual atoms, produce replicators and assemblers which can work together like hands, to automatically construct products. Nanotechnology when integrated into dentistry gives rise to a new stream, i.e. nanodentistry. The purpose of this paperis to review nanodentistry in its current form categorizing broadly into bottom up approach and top dowm approach hence covering various applications of nanotechnology ranging from the nanorobots in nano anesthesia to its varied use in dental materials and implants.
