NATIONAL AND REGIONAL IDENTIFICATION OF UKRAINIANS IN USA

Abstract
The article is devoted to the analysis of national and regional identities and corresponding practices of Ukrainian immigrants in USA. Theoretical basic of the work is grounded on the author research of identification processes in the environment of international migrants and empirical – consists of 40 interviews conducted with Ukrainian migrants who represent two migration waves (postwar and contemporary). It was detected that national and regional identities and practices of postwar and contemporary migrants have many common features while dissensions are not that much in spite of the different migration motivation and time of emigration to USA.
