Nationalism and its role in theory practice of political parties

Abstract
Explores the essence of nationalism and its role in the theory and practice of political parties. It is emphasized that the nationalist factor has become an integral part of political life in Ukraine and is an effective lever of influence on the transformation processes. As the ideological and socio-political movement it has its supporters in the person of political parties and organizations. It is concluded that the nationalist parties, organizations and movements play a prominent role in public-political life of different countries, including Ukraine. Such a role in XXI century will grow as national issues remain on the agenda of the political life.
