Abstract

Post obstructive pulmonary edema (POPE) is a life-threatening complication occurring after relief of an upper airway obstruction. We report a case of 11-year-old boy developed POPE after accidental near hanging , who was recovered after supportive treatment and mechanical ventilation .POPE is reversible condition if recognized early and properly treated
