Abstract
The article covers stages of the scientific collaboration of Professor Ivan Hranchak from Uzhhorod University and Professor Michal Danilak from Kosice University which started in the mid-60s of the XX century. These scientists made a significant contribution to the development of scientific relations between historians of Uzhhorod and Presov, and also fostered the interest of their students in studying the history of the Carpathian region, Ukraine and Slovakia.
