ADONIS AESTIVALIS: PHARMACOLOGICAL AND TOXICOLOGICAL ACTIVITIES - A REVIEW

Abstract
ABSTRACT Adonis aestivalis (summer pheasant's eye) is an annual plant with herbaceous growth. Although Adonis aestivalis has low concentrations of cardiac glycosides and it can be used therapeutically, but it remains a poisonous plant and should only be used medicinally under medical supervision. This review was designed to shed light on chemical constituents, pharmacological and toxicological effects of Adonis aestivalis. Key words: Chemical constituents, pharmacology, toxicology, Adonis aestivalis.
