Alternative sources of infrastructure project financing

Abstract
In many countries a level of infrastructure gap has not diminished, but recently even considerably has been increasing. A basic problem is to find financial sources to cover capital absorbing infrastructure projects. Difficulties with scarce resources has evolved an increased interest in private capital involvement in frame of public-private partnerships. A practice shown that private capital injection does not solve problems with insufficient funds. Besides commercial and multilateral loans, bonds and shares, investors are keen to additional sources. The aim of a paper is to indicate a significance of alternative, innovative, sources. Recently a development of infrastructure funds and implementation of specific instruments like as UE bonds become more and more important at the infrastructure market.
