FISH FAUNA OF SMALL RIVERS AND LAKES OF THE NORTHERN MOSCOW REGION (ECOLOGICAL AND FAUNISTIC SURVEY)

Abstract
The results of ecological researches on small rivers and reservoirs of Dmitrovsky and Taldomsky areas of the Northern Moscow region (rivers – Dubna, Yakot, Yakhroma; reservoirs – Zhestylevskoe, Yakhromskoe Ikshinskoe; lakes of Nerskoy group, lakes located in the state reserve "Homeland of the Crane" and the river bed of the Moscow Channel) are presented. Fish fauna of small rivers and lakes of the Northern Moscow region is represented by native species, typical of Central Russia, many species have a high ecological plasticity, and are widely distributed in the various reservoirs. The exception is Amur sleeper, an occasional invader from the Amur River basin and an introduced goldfish. Fish fauna is represented mainly by limnophils and only minnows and Chipper to a certain extent can be considered as litoreophils, referring open areas of the rivers and ponds with sandy soil. The main part of limnophils is littoral forms.
